： (Guangdong, Kwon-Glazed Porcelain, export)
Kwon-Glazed Porcelain, short for Guangzhou Weaving Gold Polychrome Porcelain, features over-glaze decoration that was manufactured during the Qing Dynasty for export. Biscuit porcelain from Jingdezhen was transferred to Guangzhou, painted and fired according to the needs of foreign customers. Kwon-Glazed Porcelain started between the reigns of Kangxi and Yongzheng Emperors, prospered during Qianglong and Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty, and has continued ever since. Known for its beautiful lines and brilliant colors, the making of Kwon-Glazed Porcelain combines traditional Chinese painting with classical western ornamentation as in the Rococo style, to suit the aesthetic tastes of westerners and increase export sales.
