This exhibition is about the cultural relics excavated in Jinyuan, including funerary objects unearthed in the Jin Tombs in Zhongxing of Suibin, Xinxiangfang of Harbin, and in the tomb of the King of Qi State in Jin Dynasty, and the delicate relics discovered in the remains of Huining Prefecture, Shangjing of Jin. These exhibits are chiefly the daily utensils of Jurchen people in eating, dressing, and housing, and have high values of art and research. Many of the relics are exhibited for the first time. The exhibition has five parts: Bronze Mirrors, Ceramic Wares, Gold and Silver Ornaments, Precious Stones and Jade Pendants, and Splendid Costumes. By demonstrating the relics unearthed in Jinyuan and by tracing the history of social development of Jurchen people in Jin Dynasty, visitors can have a better understanding of the history of Heilongjiang Province, of an old ethnic group—Jurchen people—in North-east China, and of the contribution the Jurchen people made to the development of human society and Chinese history.
